Information About Sexual Misconduct

Sexual misconduct often takes place in private—and, because it is so personal, many people never talk about it. You may well have many questions.  Below you will find a link to Yale’s sexual misconduct definitions, including sexual consent, sexual assault, sexual harassment, intimate partner violence and stalking. SHARE is here to support community members who have any concerns related to sexual misconduct, whether or not they fall within the Yale definitions. This may include processing confusing experiences or broader issues related to sexual/relationship boundaries and communication.

The links below provide further information and resources related to these forms of sexual misconduct, including misconduct that occurs in digital spaces (“Cyber Abuse”). We hope you will find this educational information helpful. Please call us if you have any questions or would like to talk to someone about what you’re reading.
